Don’t do what I do

Dan in Real Life starring Steve Carell and Dane Cook talks about a man that spent a few minutes with a girl and fell in love with her after that conversation. This story is not only about what can happen but it speaks a lot about moral values and what you should do. The girl Steve Carell fell in love with turns out to be her boyfriend’s girlfriend.

They wanted him to play the field after losing his wife 3 years prior. The past few years of his life he took care of his three girls and forgo his own enjoyment. His family wanted him to enjoy his own life a little bit and not feel bogged down by his family. Then he met her and realized that she was everything he wanted. She made him feel like he was going to be the best man he could be with her but she was with her brother.

This seems like the problem with a lot of people, the girl or guy that they want is with someone else that they know. Everything in their whole being wants to be with that person but through their own moral convictions, they cannot.

In the end the only question you have to ask yourself, do you go for it or do you let the other person be happy even though they know they should be with you.
